Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager - 6 month contract Loyola College is a Catholic Co-Educational School in the Ignatian tradition with an enrolment of 1450 students. Applications are invited for the following position commencing 2025. The ICT Manager plays a critical role in supporting the technology infrastructure and ensuring the effective implementation of technology across various college functions. A summary of the responsibilities: Main Roles: Leadership and Communication: Inform the College community about technology advancements and their relevance. Chair the ICT Committee and play a key advisory role in the ICT Strategic Committee. Advisory and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the College's Learning Technologies Strategic Plan. Advise on technology purchases, partnerships, and the integration of technology in new buildings or renovations. Oversee the ICT budget and digital device programs for both staff and students. Technical Oversight: Manage the College's internet, intranet, and software systems. Ensure the implementation of security measures, backup systems, and a Disaster Recovery Plan. Liaise with external agencies and technical staff for system maintenance, network matters, and software updates. Collaborate with the Head of Learning Resources and Heads of Learning to promote the integration of technology in the curriculum. Develop policies and programs for digital literacy and oversee the use of educational technology across the College. Research and introduce emerging technologies in education through conferences and professional networks. Operational Responsibilities: Provide directions to the ICT team, including external partners and in-house administrators and technicians. Oversee system documentation, licensing policies, and the purchasing of new technologies. The ICT Manager is responsible to the Principal via the Business Manager. The ICT Manager is responsible for managing the overall ICT Team. The ICT Manager will collaborate across faculty areas including the eLearning Coordinator, Curriculum ICT and Reporting Administrator, and Head of Teaching and Learning.
