Your role will include general maintenance repairs to production plant and equipment.
This role reports to the Hatchery Maintenance Manager in Allora.Our chickens are a precious commodity, and all employees are restricted from keeping any birds, poultry or pigs at their premises.
You will be required to shower-in and shower-out of our facility each day.
Tools, equipment, and uniforms are provided.About YouThis is a full-time position working 38-40 hours in 5 days / week, working from Friday to Tuesday with Wednesday & Thursday as days off, start time 5am, finish time 12.30-1pm on average.
This industry is a 24 / 7 operation and therefore flexibility is essential to meet production demands.The successful candidate will have:Basic metal work experiencePlant maintenance or good mechanical aptitudeBe a keen worker who enjoys a variety of tasksDemonstrated compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and proceduresGood communication and interpersonal skillsProblem-solving skillsTheir own transport and current driver's licenceA current forklift licence (preferred)Training, tools and relevant safety equipment providedBirthdays Off (after probation completed)Work with experienced mentorsFree on-site parkingWe are a family-owned poultry company, who have been growing chickens in South East Queensland for over 90 years.
