The Yara Pilbara Fertilisers' plant is one of the largest ammonia production sites in the world and we have also taken the ammonia process further downstream with the Yara Pilbara Nitrates Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) plant, a joint venture with Orica.
Together with ENGIE, Yara Pilbara will also build a renewable hydrogen plant to produce renewable ammonia.

ResponsibilitiesYara is seeking applications for their permanent role of Condition Monitoring & Quality Assurance Technician – Rotating Equipment.
This role is offered on a Monday to Friday roster.
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Condition Monitoring & Quality Assurance Technician – Rotating Equipment will perform condition monitoring of equipment and develop quality plans for maintenance work scopes, as well as lead mechanical technicians with rotating machinery overhauls.
The main objective is to improve plant reliability and maintenance practices.
The Condition Monitoring & Quality Assurance Technician will:
Closely work with Rotating Equipment engineers and Coordinators to ensure reliable operation & maintenance of Rotating Equipment.Maintain or monitor equipment downtime data with a focus on monitoring unscheduled downtime on critical equipment.Lead mechanical technicians with rotating machinery overhauls.Perform offline vibration data collection across the site using a machinery health analyzer on a routine basis.Perform daily online Vibration monitoring of Critical Rotating Equipments through System-1 and report machinery health issues.Operate a motion amplification camera for detailed vibration analysis.Collect and document field data and site observations to aid in proactive maintenance.Review, analyze & report CBM data findings holistically & in detail into the Maintenance Management system.Develop comprehensive monthly vibration reports for circulation including improvement action plans for the maintenance team to carry out.In-situ fan balancing as required.Perform oil sample collection and its management, including reviewing the results & reporting.Track and proactively follow-up maintenance action items on Rotating Equipment through completion.Monitor and maintain condition monitoring database to ensure data accuracy, quality, and traceability.Review condition monitoring and plant process data to develop and implement improvements in maintenance practices and prioritization.Develop quality plans (including detailed Inspection & Test Plan) for maintenance activities on Rotating Equipment.Develop, review and maintain customized troubleshooting guidelines and checklists for maintenance activities.Assist Rotating Equipment engineer to witness critical hold points for maintenance activities.Perform detailed rotating equipment inspections to identify root cause of failure with Engineers.Review process data, operational procedures and process & instrument diagrams to identify contributing factors to root cause.Maintain reports of equipment inspections for long term traceability.Advise maintenance team on critical maintenance scopes with hands-on involvement, as and when required.Perform site audits on a routine basis to identify gaps in installation, maintenance or operation.Perform physical inspection of tools and spare parts in inventory and identify gaps including condition, quantity, preservation and storage practices.Assist Rotating Equipment engineer in developing action plans for improved spare parts management and track action items.Support Engineers onsite for implementation of Wireless & wired Vibration monitoring system for the Balance of Plants and aligning with the latest technologies related to Predictive Maintenance.ProfileISO 18436 Category III Vibration Analyst OR Equivalent (Minimum)Minimum 3 years of experience in a condition-based maintenance role inclusive of online condition monitoring and analysisMinimum 10 years of experience as a mechanical technician or quality inspection role in a comparable industry (Petrochemical, Gas Processing, Oil Refining or Power Generation)TAFE / CERT III or IV equivalent or Diploma, training in mechanical engineeringExperience with Machinery Health Monitors is required.Intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite experience is required.SAP skills are a distinct advantageExperience in System 1 will be an advantage.Experience with Other Predictive Maintenance Technologies like Ultrasound, Thermal Imaging etc will be an advantage.Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.Additional InformationYara celebrates diversity in all operations, practices, and engagement.
