You will operate a variety of tools and machinery, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and adhering to safety and compliance standards. As the Team Leader, you will also be responsible for work allocation, quality assurance, job flow management, team meetings, and staff training. Role activities Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials Operate equipment such as grinders, croppers, forklifts, and welders. Set up machinery for specific tasks and ensure optimal performance Inspect finished products for precision, quality, and conformance to specifications Review work and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards Ensure work is performed in compliance with company policies, standards, and other regulatory requirements, including appropriate use of PPE Workflow management Quality assurance, including checking the teams work and providing feedback Team management, including running team meetings and staff training/upskilling Working closely with internal and external stakeholders (Drafting Team Leader, Construction Coordinator, and clients) Preparing deliveries and stock control, including monitoring waste and making suggestions for improvement What you will bring Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or welding Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication or related trade Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor less experienced team members Passion to drive productivity Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings Skilled in operating fabrication tools and machinery Strong attention to detail Knowledge of various materials and fabrication techniques Strong maths and measurement skills Comfortable working in a noisy, fast-paced environment Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination Ability to review current process and suggest improvements Forklift License White Card Valid driver’s licence Application Process Click Apply and upload a current Resume.
