The key purpose of the System Implementation/Organisational Change Manager role is two-fold:
1. Lead the development and implementation of a software development
framework to support modern service management within existing Application
Solutions teams.
2. High level leadership for the development, implementation and maintenance of complex software systems while also actively contributing to organisational
change initiatives for the department’s development processes.
This position is pivotal in ensuring the effective alignment of technical solutions with the department’s strategic goals, driving innovation, and facilitating the seamless integration of new systems. The role combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of change management principles to drive successful transformation of existing system development and maintenance processes to contemporary ways of working.
Key responsibilities
• Provide expert level coding and programming methodology best practice to build, maintain and enhance complex applications, using DevSecOps.
• Manage Azure DevOps projects, including configuring repositories and branch
policies, developing YAML-based CI/CD pipelines with PowerShell scripts, managing Artifacts and NuGet feeds to ensure efficient package distribution and version control.
• In partnership with the Manager, Application Solutions, develop and execute
comprehensive change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new
systems, technologies and processes across the department,
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to system development and change management.
• Champion the integration of innovation solutions that drive efficiency, effectiveness and competitive advantage for the department.
• Identify potential technical and operational risks associated with system
development and change initiatives.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Lead initiatives to modernise legacy systems to align with current industry
standards.
• Lead and support the delivery of Change Management activities, working as part of the team to ensure change management activities are proactively planned and executed.
• Develop and distribute targeted, concise and timely communications through a variety of channels (e.g. ServiceNow knowledge articles, team wikis, newsletters, group emails, presentations, showcases, FAQ’s etc).
