About the opportunity
Working within the Admissions Office, the Admissions Officer works with the Admissions Manager and the Admissions Team Leader to ensure the effective, accurate and timely recruitment and admission of students to the University. The incumbent will use their experience, knowledge and expertise to implement business process improvements within admissions.
As an Admissions Officer you will update application records, databases and ensure admissions decisions comply with established procedures, the relevant University polices and guidelines.

About you
* have at least 1-year working experience in higher education Admissions
* demonstrated experience in administrative competencies and high-level office administration, ideally within the Higher Education sector (but not essential) or other areas such as in data entry companies and other industries that require the use of various database systems
* highly organised and have the ability to work autonomously whilst also working well within a team
* delivers high volume, daily administration activities and services ensuring that high quality and efficient administrative support is provided in a pro-active manner to staff, students, and agents
* ability to exercise judgement when interpretating policy
* maintains professional, productive, and positive relationships with faculty administrative staff, academics and other internal stakeholders to enable effective delivery of services and issues resolution.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
