About the Role:
Service Quality is paramount at Melba Support Services and the Outcomes Manager role plays a critical role in high quality service delivery. The key objectives of this role are to:
* To manage the overall operations of the regions Individualised Support Arrangements (ISA) within the Rural and Remote East (Gippsland)
* To oversee the ongoing development and implementation of these disability services in the Rural and Remote East (Gippsland)
* To lead the ISA management team and direct support staff in the provision of high-quality individualised disability supports.
Responsibilities:
* Uphold and protect the human rights of individuals supported, ensuring they feel safe, well, and free from abuse and neglect.
* Drive the growth of the service into a financially viable department, while managing the allocated budget in collaboration with the Head of Community Services.
* Lead by example, demonstrating positive work practices and adhering to the most suitable support framework to manage a diverse team, delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that empower individuals to achieve their chosen outcomes.
* Continuously enhance the skills of the ISA team to meet the evolving requirements of service provision, ensuring adaptability and proficiency.
* Guide staff teams in supporting individuals to engage in their daily routines with the appropriate level of assistance, tailored to each person’s needs.
* Foster the development and maintenance of family relationships, friendships, and intimate relationships among individuals supported, promoting social inclusion.
* Facilitate a wide range of social, educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities for individuals, enriching their lives with meaningful and valuable experiences.
* Support individuals with disabilities to be recognised and valued as contributing members of their community, promoting acceptance and inclusion.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Comprehensive understanding of physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as other complex presentations, including mental health support.
* In-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred practices, ensuring the delivery of tailored, high-quality support.
* Proven experience in leading teams to achieve high performance standards, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
* Dedication to service excellence, human rights, and a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and neglect.
* Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative management skills, promoting effective teamwork and positive workplace culture.
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
* Proficient computer skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite, to support administrative and operational tasks.
Requirements:
* A current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (we can support you through the process of obtaining one or both checks if you don’t already have them).
* Access to a roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property damage) for work-related travel.
* Current First Aid Certificate with CPR.
* Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster.
