About the Opportunity Aussie Fluid Power is looking for a dynamic Project Engineer – Hydraulics, to join our multi-discipline engineering team based in North Coogee. As the Project Engineer - Hydraulics, you will plan, coordinate, support and oversee engineering projects from start to finish ensuring that they meet specifications, are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to standards. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include: Work alongside the Project Manager and other Engineers to execute projects. Select, size and verify components within project specifications based on hydraulic or mechanical requirements. Produce and assist Engineers in the generation of project documentation, drawings, calculations and hydraulic schematics. Assist Design Engineers in designing process packages. Vendor and sub-contractor identification, selection and management. Provide workshop instructions, documentation and assist the workshop team during assembly and testing stages. Experience in designing and manufacturing Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, such as Hydraulic Power Units (HPU), hydraulic manifolds, hydraulic control panels, lubrication units, oil transfer or conditioning units, flushing rigs, etc. Problem-solving, creativity, continuous learning, attention to detail, adaptability, time management and communication skills. Experience in creating hydraulic schematics and optionally electrical drawings or P&IDs. Understand all the engineering design and risk analysis steps/meetings. Knowledge of materials and their properties to make informed decisions. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and certifications. Experience in offshore oil & gas and knowledge of standards and project management software will be highly advantageous along with proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
