Position Description We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis at our Bunbury location. In this role you will be responsible for supporting and promoting high quality clinical care in accordance with standards, guidelines, legislation and organisational policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse applies competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality resident outcomes. This includes the supervision, coordination and delegation of resident care needs to Enrolled Nurses and Care Workers. Knowledge and Compliance Working knowledge of the Nurses Midwifery Board Australia's Registered Nurse Standards for Professional Practice. Working Knowledge of the Nurses Code of Conduct (2018). Knowledge of legislative requirements of residential aged care including the current Aged Care Act 1997, Quality of Care Principles 2014, Medicines and Poisons Act 2016 and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984. Working knowledge of Accreditation standards and funding tools. Skills and Experience To be successful in obtaining this role, you should have demonstrated experience in aged care clinical practice including: Clinical judgement, decision making and timely coordination, clinical assessment and evaluation of the admission, transfer and changed needs of the aged care customer. Well-developed oral and clear, concise written communication skills. Well-developed computer literacy and working knowledge of electronic health record software. Experience in a team leadership role, including workload management and performance management. Effective engagement with the multidisciplinary health care team, the resident and family representative. Effective coordination of nursing and care staff on each shift to best meet the customer care outcomes. Active participation in continuous quality improvement and training (including teaching and supervising delegated tasks to other staff). Initiative and ability to work without supervision. Essential Criteria Bachelor of Nursing preferred (Hospital trained Registered Nurse Diploma considered in conjunction with experience and merit). Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Evidence of relevant currency of practice (e.g.: aged care, dementia, palliative, restorative care). Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster. Work on weekends/public holidays as required. After hours clinical on-call remote support when required. Ability to work across other services when required. May be required to be designated 'in-charge' of the Facility. Current National Police Clearance Certificate (or ability to acquire).
