A blend of your Management Accounting skills and transactional accounting experience is required to make your mark in this newly created permanent position.
In this Accountant role you will be joining a large multi-national organization where the focus with this role is within a newly acquired Australian business.
This is a varied position where you will still be hands on with the transactional duties and you will be able to take on month end management accounting and the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and year-end financial reporting.
The Role As the Accountant this is a vital position where you are the key individual within finance.
You will partner with senior leaders across the group and operational stakeholders across Australia.
Your duties include: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to assist in strategic planning and decision-making processes Accounts receivable, accounts payable, daily banking, payroll, month-end journals.
Preparation of monthly management accounts Collaborate with national and local operational teams to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and risks are identified and mitigated.
Reviewing and checking month-end journals and accruals.
Preparing GST reconciliation and payroll reconciliation Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations, systems, and reporting efficiency.
