Position Profile:
The Nurse Educator develops, coordinates, facilitates and evaluates training, educational and professional development programs and resources across the State Health Operations Centre operational divisions for effective system management activities. They collaborate, consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies relating to the provision of education and training.
ABOUT THE PATIENT TRANSPORT COORDINATION HUB (PaTCH)
The Patient Transport Coordination Hub (PaTCH) is an initiative of the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC) to coordinate bookings, scheduling and allocation of non-emergency patient transport in metropolitan WA. The aim of this centralised service is to improve the patient experience, minimise the use of emergency ambulances for non-emergency transport, enhance patient flow and improve the efficiency of our health system.
PaTCH aims to foster a culture of collaboration and transparency between transport providers and Health Service Providers (HSPs) that focusses on providing the best patient experience. It will do this by matching a patient’s transport requirements with the most suitable and available transport provider so that patients receive the most appropriate, safe and efficient transport based on their individual needs.
