Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.We also support Dolly’s Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.About ESmarteSmart is underpinned by the eSafety Commissioner’s Best Practice Framework for Online Safety Education, an evidence-based best practice framework for a nationally consistent approach to online safety education in schools.eSmart has a whole school approach, ensuring that online safety is embedded in school leadership, governance, and culture. Schools self-select and/or work with an eSmart Advisor to plan their eSmart journey based on the specific needs of their students, school community and curriculum plans.About The RolePart-time, 2-year contract15 hours per week (2 days)Reporting into the eSmart Schools Team Leader, the eSmart Advisor - Specialist Schools provides tailored support to specialist schools, and creates a culture that promotes the positive use of digital technology.Formally based in South Melbourne, the eSmart Advisor – Specialist Schools will predominately work with specialist schools in Victoria.Your Will Be Responsible ForWorking with specialist schools across Victoria to set, achieve and maintain their commitment to online safety through the implementation of eSmart, including eSmart digital learning products.Setting and working towards KPIs based on priority schools and level of support.Providing tailored support to specialist schools and their classroom teachers and school leadership, based on the identified needs of their students, school community and curriculum plans.Delivering face-to-face and virtual workshops and training sessions to specialist schools, teaching staff, students and parents to introduce the program, provide support and engagement.Contributing to content review and development of eSmart resources and products to ensure it meets the existing and emerging needs of specialist school teachers and their whole-of-school communities.Knowledge, Experience And RequirementsPrevious experience of working directly with children and young people in specialist school settings (essential).Previous experience in delivering social change projects; frameworks or initiatives in the education sector to a high level (essential).Knowledge of contemporary online safety, digital and media literacy and digital inclusion issues and how they impact children/young adults with additional needs, their families, their schools, and their communities (essential).Excellent presentation and communication skills to conduct training, presentations, and workshops with schools (essential).Demonstrated strong customer service skills, and experience in supporting clients and project management and organisational skills.Knowledge of and experience in the Victorian education sector, preferably in specialist schools in low ADII and low SES communities.Valid full drivers license and ability to regularly travel within the state and have use of own vehicle.Post-secondary school diploma or tertiary qualifications in a related field eg. education, community development, public health, or business.A Working with Children Check and Police Check (required).What We Offer YouAccess to full NFP salary packaging benefits.Flexibility and Wellbeing focus.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available.Up to an additional 5 days leave each year, on top of the statutory holiday entitlement.A supportive and friendly team environment.Learning & Development budget.8 weeks paid primary carer leave or 2 weeks paid secondary carer leave.Substitution of Public Holidays (Australia Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday).To ApplyPlease ensure you address the 'Knowledge, Experience and Requirements' section in your cover letter when submitting your application.Applications close at 9am on Wednesday, 2 April 2025 and we will be short-listing candidates prior to the closure of this role, so please do not delay submitting your application.For further information contact Craig Reid, eSmart Schools Team Leader – Craig.Reid@amf.org.au.Important - Please NoteThe Alannah & Madeline Foundation has the highest commitment to child safety.
