We are seeking a self-motivated, engaging and organised leader to step into the role of Case Work Team Leader for the QLD South West Region Foster and Kinship Care Program based in Ipswich. If you are passionate about leading and serving a team of compassionate, dedicated and focused professionals in their support of children, young people and foster carers, then this role is for you.
The Case Work Team Leader and team work with children and young people with a range of developmental, behavioural, and psychological needs. This role will work with families, carers and broader support networks to create stability for the young person by facilitating the achievement of stability and permanency. You will be required to co-ordinate the team resources to provide supports to foster carers, family, kin and children/young people to achieve individualized outcomes. You will primarily oversee the quality and validity of services, leading by best practice example.
Operating under a strong clinical governance model, you will work within a team of independent practitioners within a specified regional geographic area. This will be achieved by providing hands-on support in situations of complexity or where team members are absent, as well as providing practice leadership and therapeutic mentoring to a team of Caseworkers.
Some travel will be required in the surrounding regions to support our clients, including our Toowoomba office, for meetings as required.
What we are looking for:
Knowledge of the Child Protection sector desirable
Qualifications in the sector or related field desirable
Proven leadership experience
Passion for fostering a positive team culture
Strong organisational and prioritising skills
