Our City Maintenance team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking, and experienced individual to fill the above position. As a member of our maintenance team, the successful applicant will undertake the operating of one of our Sweeper vehicles both road and path in the provision of a ‘Clean Mandurah Environment’ and supporting the City’s Operational service needs in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, and to agreed quality standards.
You will be responsible for:
* Undertaking sweeping operations throughout the City of Mandurah as outlined in the Maintenance Plan and as directed.
* Be accountable for quality and standard of own work performed, including productivity and safety.
* Ensuring proper operation and security of materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, and plant being used.
* Accurate record keeping of daily job records and reporting.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Current unrestricted HR (Heavy Rigid) class driver’s license
* Previous truck driving experience
* Previous experience in the operation of a suction road sweeper (desirable)
* Excellent observation and concentration skills
* Safe operation and user maintenance of plant, equipment and vehicles in a general construction environment
* Work independently and with limited supervision
* Good customer service and decision-making skills

This permanent full-time OSE Level 3 position has a salary of between $70,333 - $72,950 dependent on qualifications and experience. This position is located at the City’s Operations Centre, 93 Park Road, Mandurah.
