Description Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll report to the Fleet Operations Manager and work alongside motivated and energetic teammates. You'll be responsible for leading a team of technicians to deliver planned and corrective maintenance activities across the Sydney Light Rail Fleet. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, management, quality), oversee corrective and preventative maintenance activities and much more. We'll look to you for: Efficient utilisation of staff and resources to achieve contractual targets and targets set by the Fleet Manager and Project Director Ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety and quality procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to at all times Overseeing the in-depth fault finding, servicing and repair of the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles) Training and mentoring your team to ensure they have the right tools, equipment and competency required to perform the work Leading process improvements and new ways of working within the depot Driving efficiency within the team to ensure the improvement of availability and fleet performance Profile We value passion and attitude over experience. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a high performing team Previous experience working within maintenance of rolling stock preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels Good computer skills, in particular MS Office and SAP/GSI Commercially minded and customer focused Job Offer This is a 6-month contract role with the potential to transition to a full-time position, subject to the client's discretion.
