About the Role
This role is a key leadership position within Psychological and Support Services, overseeing mental health programs to support staff, volunteers, and their families. Working collaboratively with statewide teams, you will drive a wellbeing-focused culture through prevention and intervention services.
Responsibilities
* Delivering best-practice mental health programs
* Short-term counselling
* Training
* Triaging support needs to ensure optimal mental health outcomes
Key Requirements
* Registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency; orMental Health accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers
* Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Organisational Psychology) highly regarded
* Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn Queensland Mental Health Service delivery, legislation, and policies
* Experience leading mental health programs in a large government organisation
* Skilled in developing and delivering evidence-based mental health initiatives and risk mitigation strategies
