As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing to design and deliver strategic integrated marketing activities and brand awareness campaigns across a diverse hotel and food and beverage portfolio, including the only Marriott International property in Canberra.As part of a dynamic, agile marketing team, you will develop, implement, track and optimise all brand marketing campaigns across both traditional and digital channels. All marketing efforts will aim to strengthen each individual hotel and food and beverage brand, increase brand awareness, loyalty and conversion and ultimately, group revenue.High focus will be placed on end-to-end campaign creation, delivery and reporting for the suite of hospitality brands. The role includes both traditional and digital marketing. A solid understanding of databases, website maintenance, search engine optimisation, e-marketing strategy and reporting will be key to fulfilling the functions of the role.With guidance and support from the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will ensure the smooth-running of all marketing efforts relating to our individual hospitality brands. Project multi-tasking, problem-solving and strong analytic skills are key requirements of the role. The ability to liaise confidently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders is also expected.ResponsibilitiesManage all digital platforms across all Iconic Hotels brands.Manage and execute all web content and ensure they are audited and kept current and updated.Preparation of reports as required on brand and project performance and ensure they are presented in a timely manner to the Management team.Manage and direct ad control of marketing by planning and running advertising campaigns and promotional activities, service management, market analysis and research.Manage, develop and recommend strategies and plans to achieve the required marketing and profit objectives for the assigned portfolio.Ensure all marketing material produced; online, copy, literature, in field, and at events is on brand and in line with objectives.Manage, develop, secure approval, plan and execute local marketing initiatives that support and enhance national and regional plans, and that ensure maximisation of local market opportunities.Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, corporate service marketing, regional brand marketing, and local management.Concepting, designing, executing and managing digital visual content – such as website builds and maintenance projects, photoshoots and broadcast TVC / radio campaigns.Ensure all brands’ visual digital assets are relevant, up-to-date and in-line with the approved financial year strategy.Design and implement paid and earned packages, promotions and activations specific to each hotel and food and beverage brand.Keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing and marketing world and apply them to future campaigns or annual strategies.Plan for all marketing expenditures well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximise their resources.ExperienceExperience in planning, implementing and reporting on paid, earned and owned marketing and promotional activities.Proficient in data analysis and campaign optimisation workflows.Proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of applications.Proficient in WordPress and WIX.Knowledge in photo and video editing.Experience in managing a variety of Content Management Systems.Sound understanding in the Google advertising network – such as; Google Analytics, AdWords etc.Demonstrated professional and appropriate communication style with key internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and juggle multiple projects at one time.A university degree in Marketing communications, or similar is advantageous, though not essential.Experience in a marketing and/or communications team in a similar role.Ability in graphic design is advantageous, though not essential.About the businessA core division of Geocon, Iconic Hotels by Geocon specialises in hotel operations, management, training and strategy, as well as food and beverage outlet management and operations.
