Administrative Assistant – Waste Services
We are seeking a highly organized and administrative skilled individual to join our Waste Services team within NSW Local Government.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality, while contributing to maintaining smooth, effective processes across the section.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Administrative Support: Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all administrative tasks.
* Coordinate Schedules: Prepare documentation and take accurate minutes at meetings.
* Manage Accounts Payable and Procurement: Process invoices and raise purchase orders.
* Maintain Records: Comply with Council's Record Management procedures.
* Support Community Law Enforcement and Waste Systems: Administer legislative requirements and policies.
* Deliver Professional Advice: Provide timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries.
* Monitor and Report on Financial Performance: Key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualification: Related field and/or suitable experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills required.
* Excellent Organisational Skills: Attention to detail and time management abilities.
* Strong Communication Skills: Experience in negotiation and conflict resolution.
* Proven Ability to Work Independently: Collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Current Class C Driver's License: Essential.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience with Corporate Databases: TRIM, TechOne, SCOUT.
* Familiarity with Financial Management: Website content management.
* Proven Competency in Minute-Taking: Managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
