Position Summary
This position is based in Cairns.
The Building Supervisor objective is to effectively manage all jobs with the provision of exceptional customer service to their customers and clients setting expectations and delivering. The Building Supervisor is required to complete all
associated tasks in the running of jobs effectively through processes that are in place within the Company. You will travel throughout the Cairns region meeting interesting people and helping them rebuild their properties.
Your tasks will include but not limited to:
* Be a role model for effective and positive leadership which is ethical, and results driven and future
orientated.
* Completing reports and quote for peer review in job management system - Prime
* Attend site for pre-start meeting. Review scope in detail with customer and set customer
expectations. ie job timeframes
* Scheduling work and organizing trades
* Sending Work Orders and Purchase Orders to contractors and suppliers
* Complete weekly inspections of WIP jobs. Ensure weekly progress updates.
About you
* MUST have previous experience working with insurance repairs
* Cert IV in Building & Construction or willing to complete
* Previous experience as a Site Supervisor and/or carpentry background (preferred)
* A working knowledge of the NCC, QBCC Standards and Tolerances and WH&S (preferred)
* Passion to deliver the highest quality of finishes from your trades team
* Positive and confident attitude with high focus on customer service
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High level of computer skills including adapting to new programs and Microsoft Office suite
Requirements
* QBCC Site Supervisor License (min Building - Low Rise) - desirable, not essential.
* Cert IV in Building & Construction - preferred
* White Card
* Driver's License
* Working at Heights - highly desirable
* Senior First Aid or equivalent
