Want to be part of it?Utilise your expertise in providing high-level executive assistance to senior stakeholdersOngoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 5 : $109,730 to $132,764 plus superannuation.The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide a critical role in its Aboriginal Justice division.Provides comprehensive administrative and executive support to two Deputy Secretaries, demonstrating initiative and a strong commitment to the smooth running of the Deputy Secretaries' offices.Provides a quality assurance service in relation to incoming briefs and correspondence.Represents the Deputy Secretaries' offices in a highly professional manner with internal and external stakeholders.Provides leadership to the Executive Assistant group across the Aboriginal Justice (AJ) and Police, Racing, Victims and Coordination (PRVC) groups, and manages administrative processes, and implements change as required.About the Business UnitsThe Aboriginal Justice (AJ) Group is committed to driving systemic change in the justice system, to deliver better outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians.
The group works in partnership with Victorian Aboriginal communities and is guided by principles of Aboriginal self-determination.About the roleThe Senior Executive Assistant leads the provision of high-quality executive support services across the offices of the Deputy Secretaries for AJ and PRVC.
The Senior Executive Assistant works collaboratively with the broader Office of the Deputy Secretary teams to provide leadership and oversight of group administrative processes.About youProven experience in providing executive support to senior executives within a large organisation and with limited supervision in a sensitive and fast-paced environment.Sound knowledge of the processes, policies and procedures within government and understanding of public sector accountability.Demonstrated experience in providing quality assurance for briefs, letters, and emails using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work well and effectively with people across the department and VPS.Strong service excellence skills, with an ability to make clients and their needs a primary focus for maintaining satisfaction.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal communities.QualificationsA qualification in administration or a similar discipline is desirable but not mandatory.How to ApplyPlease click the Apply button on this advertisement.
