We are looking for a well rounded and experienced Sous Chef to join the team in our vibrant and fast paced cafe in Casuarina. We are after someone who works well in a team, has a love for food, ingredients and can work well in a fast moving environment under pressure. Has expierience with ordering, par levels, creating new menus, looking after supplier relations, staying on top of food and labour cost. We have been operating for over six years and have well established ourselves as a community hub and weekend getaway for locals. We aim to provide the highest standards of service, food and specialty coffee daily. Every single time, every single customer!

The position requires the following:- relevant AQF Diploma AND 3 years of relevant work experience.
The role includes but is not limited to:
planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen and waiting staff
demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
assisting with selecting and training staff
This is a full time role, with a remuneration in the range of $73,150 to $85,000 p.a. (depending on
skills, experience and qualifications) plus superannuation.
