Assistant Director Cyber Operations and Assurance THE ROLE:Austrade is seeking a skilled and experienced analyst to join the Cyber Operations and Assurance team as the Assistant Director Cyber Operations and Assurance. This role will assist in the delivery of cyber security in Austrade, particularly security operations.DUTIES INCLUDE:Conducting comprehensive analysis of Information Communications Technology (ICT) services and associated security systems to identify irregularities and minimise riskManaging and coordinating response for cyber security incidents and threatsEstablishing policies, procedures and treatments to ensure preventative and recovery strategies are in place to minimise risks to Austrade ICT systemsProviding security-focused technical advice to the Director Cyber Security and Risk, and cyber security support for projects and other initiativesMaintaining and managing registers, tools and other assetsConducting independent research, analysis and reportingUndertaking audits to validate controls, and providing recommendations for remediationSupervising and managing the small Cyber Operations and Assurance teamContributing to the strategic direction of the agency through input to business planningTaking responsibility for the achievement of own outcomes, monitoring progress and following through in order to deliver quality resultsContributing to service delivery and the achievement of desired outcomes, while upholding the Australian Public Service Values, Employment Principles and Code of Conduct and Work Health and Safety (WHS) principlesCLOSING DATE:Applications close at 11.30PM, Wednesday, 23 April 2025 (AEST)ELIGIBILITY:Australian citizenship - our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.Security clearance - our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.For more detailed information please view the Information Pack.
