The Role An opportunity has arisen for an Associate (3–5 years PAE) to join the firm’s Professional Indemnity (Property) team in Sydney. The role involves working on complex professional indemnity claims, focusing on property-related disputes and insurance litigation. Key responsibilities include: Advising insurers, brokers, and professionals on policy coverage and liability issues. Managing and defending professional indemnity claims in the property sector. Drafting legal documents, including advice, pleadings, and court submissions. Attending mediations, conferences, and court hearings. Providing strategic and commercially focused legal advice to clients. Collaborating with senior lawyers and partners on complex matters. The Candidate The firm is seeking a motivated and commercially astute lawyer who meets the following criteria: 3–5 years PAE in insurance litigation, ideally with experience in professional indemnity (property-related claims preferred). Strong technical legal skills in insurance law and dispute resolution. Solid file management and litigation experience. Excellent client relationship and communication skills. A proactive and pragmatic approach to legal problem-solving. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
