Our client is a cabin accommodation and restaurant provider with an open air Poolside Bar and Bistro. They are looking for experienced chef's as working as part of their team in food preparation and presentation of meals as required to total customer satisfaction.
Your Role:
* Carry out duties in accordance with safety policy, safety principles, corporate values and strategies.
* Preparation of meals to order
* Lead employees by setting a positive example. Instruct and develop apprentices and other kitchen employees
* Contribute to the department with menu ideas and or promotional ideas.
* Assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure high standards cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets.
* Ensure strict rotation of food stock and minimum wastage.
* Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
* Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost controls.
* Follow hotel procedures with respect to grooming, performance and conduct standards, occupational health and safety, emergency procedures and all other hotel policies and procedures as detailed in the employee handbook.
* Comply with work practices and wear protective clothing where it is necessary and has been provided by the establishment.
* Report all unsafe work conditions including broken equipment to Manager, Supervisors or Safety Committee representative.
* Use safe manual handling techniques at all times and take a consultative role to assist in achieving a healthy and safe working environment.
* Perform any other duties within the employee’s range of competence as required by management.
To be suitable for the role you must have:
* AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma with at least two years of experience. OR
* At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.

* Uses leadership skills to maintain an effective work group
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
Your salary of $55,000-$65,000 + superannuation
