About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on either a part time or full time basis.
We are a 32 bed, fast paced, high turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.
As a Registered Nurse your duties will include:
* Provide evidenced based nursing care
* Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
* Ensure patient and staff safety
* Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
* Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse - (Paeds/adult experience desirable)
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care
* Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Works well independently and within a team
