Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an Engineering Project Manager to work with our client Main Roads WA, working full time hours and based in the Bunbury office on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
This position is responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of projects relating to roads and civil works. The incumbent will provide leadership, coordinate resources, manage jobs to ensure timely delivery within budget, and ensure client satisfaction.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
1. Liaise and communicate with clients to understand and manage client needs and deliver projects on time
2. Enhance the client relationship through responsiveness, effective communication, quality, and timely project delivery
3. Ensure consultancy agreement is signed before commencing work on a project
4. Regularly brief the Project Director on project performance
5. Brief, lead, manage and work with the project team to achieve the project outcomes
6. Ensure the safety of those involved on the project
7. Facilitate the resolution of issues between team members
8. Develop a clear job brief defining the scope of work
9. Complete projects to a high technical standard
10. Manage and lead preparation of proposals and fee estimates
11. Business development and marketing to secure new clients
12. Coach and mentor junior staff and ensure positive relationships developed and maintained through effective communication and consultation.
What you will bring to the team:
1. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant discipline
2. Manage larger sized, or complex regional road projects and/or contracts or both.
3. Experience in supervision and management of a team
4. External stakeholder interface
5. Work as part of a large project management team
6. Proven track record and sound knowledge in road design and construction
7. Extensive experience in project and contract management
8. Knowledge in managing human, financial and other resources within agreed allocations
9. Exposure in leading and managing individuals and teams to achieve agreed outcomes
10. Substantial experience in research, analysis and problem solving.
