The position offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe and cost-effective drug therapy, achieving optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include direct patient-facing work to support the activities of the clinical pharmacists including workload prioritisation, obtaining best possible medication histories, medication supply, and generating medication profiles.
You will manage a team of pharmacy assistants and technicians to coordinate and prioritise workloads, provide training to new staff, review staff performance, and support the operational needs of the clinical pharmacy team and the broader pharmacy department.
This role involves managing complex workloads and representing the department on hospital and SA Pharmacy committees, driving improvements and innovation in pharmacy services.

Your responsibilities will include clinical dispensing and distribution, packaging of pharmaceuticals, inventory management, and training staff.
You will also assist with organising daily workloads, monitoring quality, and contributing to the preparation and manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
By collaborating with supervisors and Pharmacy Manager(s), you will ensure the delivery of efficient and high-quality pharmacy services.The AHA4 role builds on these responsibilities with a leadership focus, where you will manage a team of support staff, intern pharmacists, and students.
