About the role
Grampians Health is seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse for the newly created role of ICU Advanced Scope Nurse at Horsham. This unique opportunity is perfect for a nurse eager to enhance clinical skills, take on leadership, and build a new ICU liaison and rapid response service from the ground up. * Develop advanced clinical skills, including line insertion and echocardiography
* Shape an ICU liaison/rapid response service to meet Horsham’s unique needs
* Lead with autonomy, with potential to advance into a Nurse Practitioner role
Key Responsibilities
* Foster innovation in practice that contributes to a high functioning ICU, early detection and management of acutely deteriorating patients
* Support nursing research, publication of work and public presentation within the clinical, national and international healthcare community
* Communicate a positive vision for change and supports colleagues through the change process
* Identify cost effective and efficient approaches to managing resources
* Develop business proposals based on service review, identified need and risk analysis using local service and financial data
* Ensure information is available to staff by utilising a wide range and appropriate modes of communication
Skills & Experience
* Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold a current practicing certificate
* Postgraduate qualification in either intensive or critical care
* Experience in the ICU field and have demonstrated working at a senior level within the ICU field.
* Ability to assist the implementation of new models of care, lead and support change and develop a dynamic and cohesive team culture across disciplines

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Clinical Nurse Consultant (ZA7-ZA8) which ranges from $63.40 - $64.91 per hour.
