An opportunity to write independent learning materials for Distance Education Year 1-4.
The EOSD is expected to work under a HOD to write materials for Version 9 in the subjects of English and Maths.
Two Education Officer (EOSD) roles are offered on a temporary full-time basis from 24 March 2025 until 05 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
You are able to work from Longreach, Charleville or Mount Isa. We are also open to applicants interested in working from home.
Accommodation is available in all 3 locations.
The successful candidate will be employed at the classification listed on the attached role description under EOSD provisions.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Participate in a range of project teams to develop implementation strategies, manage projects and deliver services.
* Coordinate projects and deliver services, using recent experience and thorough knowledge to deliver initiatives and strategies.
* Develop resources and programs that support high quality practice and partnerships by analysing a variety of alternatives to deliver best outcomes.
Mandatory Requirements
* You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
* Employees engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022.
* When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
