Senior HSE Advisor
UGL's utilities business delivers critical infrastructure services for power and water sectors, ranging from transmission lines to water treatment plants.
We provide end-to-end delivery, including design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. Our team safely leads and delivers projects across Australia through self-performance works, sub-contractors, or joint ventures.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior HSE Advisor for a substation and high voltage transmission line project in Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and interpret relevant legislation, policies, and regulations to provide direction and advice to projects.
* Provide guidance and coaching to Project Managers, Supervisors, and Construction Managers on project-specific HSSE reporting and analysis.
* Liaise with customers, external regulatory bodies, and state organisations to ensure compliance and compatibility with their systems and processes.
* Design and deploy safety culture change initiatives to increase focus and attention to safety and environment.
About You
We are looking for an individual with the following qualifications and experience:
* Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in a Workplace Safety and Health related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management in the Construction/Infrastructure industry.
* Excellent knowledge of OH&S, Environment, and Workers Compensation legislation.
* Demonstrated capability to develop and implement safety management systems.
* Thorough knowledge of AS 4801, ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000.
* Cert IV Training and Assessment.
