We are looking for a Consultant within the Tax Controversy team in our Perth office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis. We provide an end-to-end Tax Controversy service to our clients, which enables the role to have a lot of variety. As our Consultant – Tax Controversy & Policy, you will advise clients on a broad range of tax matters with a focus on the technical and tactical management of all things tax. Your key responsibilities include:
* Advise a range of clients, from large corporates to high-net-worth individuals, helping them to develop and document their tax corporate governance processes and test the operational effectiveness of their tax corporate governance framework.
* Research matters of tax administration, get involved in dispute resolution processes and help clients respond to requests for information in the context of ATO reviews and audits.
* Draft objections, private binding ruling requests, requests for amended assessments and submissions against penalties.

Skills and attributes for success
* Law Degree
* Admitted to practice
* Tax technical skills
* Ability to develop strong and broad relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service
* Ability to work with a number of different clients and internal stakeholders on multiple deadlines
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Experience in tax advisory and tax compliance and reporting
* Problem solving abilities and a focus on solutions
* Willingness to learn and become involved in a range of different types of work
