Our client, a high grade lead-silver mine located in the Gascoyne region, is seeking aSenior Underground Planning Engineer. Reporting to the Underground Manager and Alternate Underground Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring short, medium, and long term mine plans are implemented to optimise the life of mine and enable the business to meet its long and short term objectives.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering;WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate (desirable);Competent using Deswik.Position Duties:Prepare forecasts and develop mining strategy with assistance from the Mining – Geology department and Production Engineers;Ensure integrity and security of all data stored on the mine planning software systems;Develop mine design, planning guidelines and strategies to optimise mining processes;Development planning incorporating the short, medium, and long-term planning requirements;Oversee the preparation of schedules to meet the forecasts;Supervise the preparation of development Mine Instructions to facilitate the schedules;Compilation of forecasts and Life of Mine plans;Manage the preparation of short-term schedules and assist Production Engineers with implementation of designs;Supervise the preparation and approval of mine development Mine Instructions;Review costs for Life of Mine Plan and develop cut-off grades for Ore Reserve Estimations;Finalise unit cost calculations for estimation purposes and educate all production and technical underground staff;Prepare weekly reporting metrics for the Underground Manager.Experience:5+ years experience in the mining industry with a broad range of underground mining technical and management skills.Current Status:OPENDuration:PermanentDuty Roster:FIFO 4/4th 8:6#J-18808-Ljbffr
