Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence PractitionerApply locations Litchfield CourtTime type Full timePosted on Posted YesterdayTime left to apply End Date: November 21, 2024 (27 days left to apply)Job requisition id JR102927Supporting those in need, we help people discover pathways to strong families and healthy, happy children in our community.$87,138 + super + not for profit salary packaging benefitsFixed Full Time Contract to 30 June 2025 with possibility of extensionLocation:Nightcliff NT 0810Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians in needLife at Mission AustraliaWhen you join the team at Mission Australia, you become part of a community who are determined to end homelessness and ensure people in need can thrive.United by our Christian purpose and values, we stand together with anyone who needs us, for as long as they need us.Your OpportunityThe Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence Practitioner will play a critical role within the Supported and Safe Integrated Tenancy Program at Litchfield Court, a 127-unit social housing complex.This position will support individuals and children experiencing family violence, providing both immediate and long-term assistance.Using the Risk Assessment Management Framework (RAMF), the practitioner will assess risk levels, develop safety plans, and offer essential services such as information sharing, advocacy, referrals, and case coordination to promote safety, stability, and well-being.In this role, the practitioner may also work with individuals who perpetrate violence, providing opportunities for intervention and support to break the cycle of abuse.Through strong collaboration with partner organizations, the practitioner will ensure that vulnerable individuals and families have access to the resources and support they need to overcome violence and rebuild their lives.Your Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to referrals from NT Police in a coordinated way with Police and Child Protective Services and ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner.Conduct risk assessments and safety planning using the Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework to determine risks.Respond to urgent client safety needs.Work with children and families to develop holistic and strength-based case plans identifying their goals.Prepare tailored case management support to clients, developing and implementing individualised case management and safety plans.Regularly review and update these plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective.Provide advocacy and referral to appropriate services enabling people to achieve their individual goals.Maintain accurate and detailed client records, ensuring all data is entered in accordance with privacy and security requirements.Prepare reports and documentation -
