The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is expanding its team and have a unique opportunity available for a continuing Lecturer/Senior Lecturer role in Stochastics, Statistics and Data Science.
In this role the successful candidates will be joining a large, diverse team of experts, delivering high-quality content and support to students and play an integral part of their University learning.

The discipline of Stochastics, Statistics and Data Science has a dynamic team of academics involved in the delivery of highly relevant teaching programs as well as engaged with a wide portfolio of research activities. The discipline hosts the Adelaide Data Science Centre, a leading research and training centre renowned by its expertise in both statistics and mathematical modelling. The centre is engaged with numerous stakeholders in multiple areas providing an exciting multidisciplinary context for academics to create high-impact solutions.
To be successful at Level B we are seeking:
* PhD in the mathematical sciences or equivalent qualification
* Demonstrated research ability that supports the School's research strengths in statistics, data science, stochastic modelling, or a related field
* Record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals or conference proceedings
* Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English with both students and staff
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
* Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community
To be successful at Level C we are additionally seeking:
* Substantial record of research achievements as evidenced by publications in high-quality journals or conference proceedings
* Demonstrated ability to win significant research funding
* Substantial record of success in effective teaching using evidence-based pedagogy that promotes student engagement and as course coordinator
* Record of successful curriculum development or pedagogical innovation
* Demonstrated ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students
* Ability to carry out administrative duties, as directed by the Head of School, effectively and efficiently
