Future opportunities may include:
* Permanent part time hours
* Casual hours, anticipating 15-25 hours per week for leave coverage. This may include shifts starting at 6am, shifts finishing at 8pm, and overnight sleep shifts. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate availability during school hours only for our casual pool.
A typical day as a Support Worker may look like:
* Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
* Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming, dancing, bingo, horseback riding, going to the gym, bowling and more
* Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
* Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed
* Administration duties and mandatory daily reports
The ideal candidate will:
* Live in the Bunbury region
* Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering, toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation, housekeeping)
* Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
* Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives
* Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration
* Proven administration and computer literacy skills
* Availability to work between 15-25 hours per week
* Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021), OR willingness to work towards the qualification
* A valid driver’s licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available)
