About the Job Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for compliance and reporting?About the role We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual with a background in finance or accounting, and the ability to navigate conversations with ease to enhance our team's effectiveness and strengthen our relationships with stakeholders.Your proven financial management experience, including experience in the use of corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems would be highly regarded.As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of end of financial year accounts, including detailed notes and supporting documentation, all in line with Australian Accounting standards, legislation and PTA policies.You will play a key role in lease accounting in undertaking a range of financial accounting and reporting activities.Your analytical skills will be essential in forecasting future lease liabilities for corporate budgeting and forecasting.You will also be responsible for monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, and the processing of month-end journals.Your organisational skills will enable you to work both independently and collaboratively, delivering quality outcomes on schedule.About You!To excel in this role, you should possess: Possession of a tertiary qualification in Finance or Commerce or equivalent with eligibility for membership to one of the professional bodies (ICAA, CPA Australia or IPA).Considerable knowledge and practical application of Taxation legislation as it applies to Government agencies, in particular FBT and GST.Proven financial management experience in an accrual-based environment, including experience in the use of corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and spreadsheets.Demonstrated experience in interpreting Australian Accounting Standards and Treasurer's Instruction and applying a range of financial management governance and legislative requirements.High level of financial analysis, conceptual thinking and problem solving with attention to detail for complex financial management problems.About Us
