Our client, Pure Mechanical Pty Ltd is looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanics/Diesel Motor Mechanics to join their dedicated team and contribute to their mission of maintaining and repairing diesel-powered equipment to the highest standards.
You will be responsible for maintaining the efficient operation of all diesel-powered equipment through regular inspections, repairs, and correction of deficiencies.
Main Responsibilities: Maintain and repair diesel-powered vehicles.
Run diagnostics and analyze diagnostic test results.
Replace steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Test drive vehicles to gauge performance.
Prepare vehicles for inspection.
Maintain detailed activity logs of vehicles serviced.
Keep the workshop organized, clean, and safe.
Regularly check machines during operation.
Ensure regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
Apply workplace health and safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
Document occupational hazards and risks in electrical work.
Qualifications and Experience: Heavy Diesel / Truck Mechanic qualification.
Minimum of 5 years' experience with trucks.
Willingness to obtain an Australian driver's license.
Current driver's license from home country.
Skills and Competencies: Professional approach with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
