In this role you will assist individuals who have committed sexual offences to develop skills and strategies to make better decisions in their life, in addition to challenging yourself by working with complex clients with a variety of presenting issues and backgrounds. In addition you will develop your skills in providing long-term in-depth group and individual based intervention. If this sounds like the career choice for you in 2025, please apply What you’ll do Delivering assessments and interventions to people who have been convicted of sexual offences Delivering group-based offending behaviour programs, including offence-specific and offence-related interventions. Providing expert consultation to staff regarding offender mental health and risk management (including sexual and violent offender assessment). Maintaining concise documents and notes on offenders receiving psychological services and programs. Preparing reports, advice and consultations. Attending professional development and networking opportunities including the annual Psychological Conference. What we’re looking for A motivated psychologist to provide an ethical and effective psychology service in a dynamic environment for psychologists who are charged with management of challenging clients and in the context of limited or scarce professional resources. Demonstrated expertise in assessment and treatment in correctional psychology including mental health issues, cognitive impairment, and with respect to behaviour management. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary correctional principles related to psychological assessments and interventions, including criminogenic risk assessment.
