Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your community? Riverland Community Health is looking for caring and dedicated Direct Care Workers to support elderly, frail, and disabled clients to live independently at home. Join our compassionate team and help enhance the lives of those who need it most.
In this role, you’ll provide personal and domestic assistance to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being. You’ll work closely with our team to offer tailored care that supports each client’s individual needs, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the care they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene
Support mobility and assist with lifting, transfers, and mechanical aids
Ensure clients' homes are clean, safe, and comfortable
Aid in medication administration and assist with routine treatments
Provide transportation and support special needs clients
Work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team
What We’re Looking For:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong judgement and initiative in daily tasks
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
