We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following full-time (1.0 FTE) position to commence in January 2025:
* Design & Technology (Wood / Metalwork) (Year 7-10)
* Materials Design & Technology (Wood) (Year 11 & 12)
The successful applicant will:
* Have relevant teaching qualifications and experience and be an outstanding, passionate Teacher with a special interest in the Technologies, focusing on Woodwork, Metalwork, and Technical Drawing CAD/CAM production and 3D printing.
* Require a thorough understanding of the current Design and Technology/Materials and Design SCSA Curriculum.
* Have extensive knowledge of the machinery used, be able to maintain it, and perform minor repairs.
* Join a cohesive team of teachers who work well together.
* Have a thorough knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum.
* Have experience working within a Google Chrome environment.
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
* An active Christian Faith.
* A passion for incorporating technologies into the broader curriculum.
* Capacity to engage in innovative, practical design activities utilizing traditional industry-standard technologies.
* Demonstrated high levels of competency in teaching Design and Technology from Years 7 – 9 and Materials and Design in Years 10-12 (General Years 11 and 12).
* Exemplary teaching practice with proven classroom management skills.
* Writing of programmes and daily lesson plans.
* Comprehensive knowledge of current educational needs and achievement standards as they apply to Secondary schooling.
* Ability to address students’ varying intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities in teaching practice and pedagogy.
* A variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all students.
* Ability to implement College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management.
* Understanding of technology and confidence in using it in teaching.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and mentoring skills.
* A commitment to go the extra mile to ensure that your students are always well provided for.

* Deeply relational, friendly, and open.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position.
* Current registration certificate with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
* Current Working With Children Check Card.
* Current Police Clearance.
Additional Requirements:
* The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principals Child Safe Modules if not already completed.
* You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
