About the Opportunity
The Crown Solicitor's Office is seeking a highly flexible andefficient Litigation Support Officer to provide administrationsupport to a team of Solicitors within the Civil LitigationSection. Working primarily within a digital environment, theLitigation Support Officer is relied upon to contribute to thesmooth running of the office by providing an effectiveadministration and secretarial support service to solicitors, theTeam Leader and the wider administrative support team asrequired.
The successful applicant will be approachable and enthusiastic,with excellent communication skills, a high level of attention todetail and have the ability to learn digital process and ITsystems. Prior experience within a legal environment is notessential. Successful applicants will be provided with on the jobtraining and have a supportive team available when assistance isrequired.
About the Business
The Crown Solicitor's Office, through the Attorney-General,provides legal services to government, Ministers, agencies anddepartments, including legal advice, representation before courtsand tribunals, negotiating commercial contracts, drafting andproduction of legal documents, counsel for the conduct of summaryprosecutions and Magistrates' appeals, native title claimmanagement, land conveyancing and investigation.
