The Business Analyst is responsible for helping define business problems via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information with specific focus on the Fraud domain. This is a key role to assist in the delivery of diverse and varied program of work, centred around a large-scale fraud investigation capability uplift.Duties
1. Support the delivery in the development of a business case across the agency's fraud program.
2. Work closely with program, business and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritise and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into solution outcomes which align with agency's architectural principles and strategies.
3. Working with Agile delivery practices including backlog creation / refinement and associated requirements gathering, data discovery and analysis.
4. Outcome focus, with an ability to effectively challenge while retaining a customer focus
5. Self-managing, adaptable and quick to learn
6. Ability to work well with dynamic technical teams, business stakeholders and 3rd party providers
7. Facilitate workshops and perform business analysis activities including business process modelling, business and solution requirements life cycle management, and data modelling.
8. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and features
9. Suggest changes/enhancements to Senior Management using analytics to support your recommendations and actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
10. Work with various business units to support and maintain new and existing customer data and system integration.
To be successful in this role - you must have the following:
11. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change, with a proven ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines.
12. Proven experience, of greater than 3 years, in a senior role relating to fraud investigations, case management and data mining including delivery of new services and ongoing feature elaboration.
13. Experience with Cloud environments Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
