About the Role This challenging yet rewarding opportunity allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of people with disability, including those living with mental health conditions. You’ll be part of a team delivering quality services that achieve positive outcomes for clients in a supportive, proactive environment. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, both in their homes and within the community. You will also assist individuals in our Shared Independent Living environment. This position involves traveling between clients and working short shifts, which may include split shifts. Responsibilities may also include personal care, meal preparation and transportation. Majority of the shifts are Monday to Friday, in addition there may be opportunities to pick up shifts in the evenings, ie sleepover shifts. These shifts are located in the Bunbury and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, including those with mental health conditions, in their homes or in the community. Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. Work across casual shifts Monday to Friday between 7 am and 8 pm. Availability required for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday shifts, with potential to pick up additional shifts. Skills & Experience Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence Certificate III in Community Welfare, Disability, or a similar qualification Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions is highly regarded Current Provide First Aid Certificate Additional Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need to undergo probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant).
