Davidson are working with a state government client who is seeking an experience HR Generalist.
About the Role
You will be an integral in managing and executing HR functions. Your role ensures that HR operations within the team are efficient, effective, and strategically aligned with our goals.
1. Establishment and Organisational Structure: Manage HR functions including creating/modifying positions, conducting staff reconciliations and cessations, and maintaining updated Vacancy Management Requests and organisational charts.
2. Recruitment and Contractor Management: Oversee the recruitment process, support recruitment panels, and track, monitor and coordinate contract extensions, and staffing requirements.
3. HR Compliance and Record Management: Maintain position descriptions, manage the conflict-of-interest register, monitor mandatory training completions, manage building ID requests, and manage HR records ie work from home agreements.
4. Employee Support and Case Management: Provide guidance on leave arrangements, handle onboarding, induction, training and offboarding processes, coordinate EAS requirements and collaborate with SWIM to manage injury cases effectively.
About You
5. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment process, bulk recruitment is desirable.
6. Demonstrated experience in managing establishments.
7. Demonstrated experience in the creation of roles and role profiles.
8. Demonstrated experience in a general HR role.
9. HR Management Expertise: Extensive experience in HR management within complex organisations, preferably within government settings, including development of role profiles, recruitment, performance management and compliance with legislative and government policy requirements.
10. Strategic and Analytical Abilities: Strong ability to plan and execute HR strategies that support organisational goals.
11. Detail-Oriented and Organised: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple HR functions simultaneously.
12. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders and support staff and management.
