About The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Finance Analyst to join our experienced and energetic finance team.
As the Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager with financial reporting, tax and legal compliance, and financial forecasting/modelling to provide insight to stakeholders on key areas of business performance with recommended areas of improvement.
Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
1. Producing monthly management accounts in approved format with analysis of performance and recommendations for improvement.
2. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts, audit packs, and parent reports (Financial Reporting Pack).
3. Budget preparation and management activities, including conducting periodic financial analysis to identify and resolve issues, gaps, and/or variances.
4. Maintaining cashflow forecasts to ensure funds required by operations and interest costs are minimised.
5. Provide insightful financial information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
6. Assist in the development and maintenance of long-term forecasting models.
7. Product level performance assessments with recommendations for improvements.
8. Expense variance analysis and reporting to department heads.
9. Ensuring statutory compliance and submission of all required returns and information.
10. Annual audit completion (on time and unqualified).
11. Liaison with external Tax Accountant Advisor for income tax reporting.
Skills And Experience
1. 2+ years’ experience in a financial accounting role involving group reporting/consolidations.
2. 2+ years’ experience in Excel modelling and reconciliation (moderate/advanced).
3. Mid-tier or Big4 Accounting experience in a corporate accounting function of a $50m+ revenue organisation.
4. Demonstrated strong analytical skills and proficiency in PowerBI/modelling tools.
Exposure to finPOWER (or another Loan Management System) and/or the financial services industry is desirable.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field.
2. CA/CPA preferred, but not essential.
