The Client Our client is a registered pharmacy outlet chain located in Wyong in New South Wales. The Role They are seeking a full-time registered Retail Pharmacist to join their team in Wyong in New South Wales. This is for a full-time position at an annual salary between $80,000 and $95,000 plus superannuation. The Responsibilities Deliver high-quality pharmacy services, including dispensing prescription medicines, providing patient counselling, offering health information, and primary health care. Provide patient-centered care by collaborating with GPs, allied health professionals, healthcare providers, and the community. Dispense prescriptions in compliance with Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations. Responsibilities include prescription medicines counselling, supplying Pharmacist Only Medicines, and supervising the supply of Pharmacy Medicines, unscheduled medicines, and health products. Utilise dispensary assistants for routine dispensing tasks when available. Provide pharmacy advice on medication use and offer comprehensive services, including home medicine reviews, dose administration aids, opioid substitution therapy, disease management, medication adherence support, and health promotion. Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring all tasks are carried out competently and promptly. Ensure patient safety and optimal medication use during dispensing. Document clinical interventions using GuildCare software and intervene as needed to prevent medication errors. Offer staged supply services based on requests from prescribers or patients/carers in accordance with established guidelines. Complete all dispensing activities in line with HIC requirements and prepare PBS and other Medicare claims as necessary. Report any errors, discrepancies, or ethical breaches that arise in the pharmacy. Assist in managing dispensary stock by checking expiration dates, rotating inventory, and monitoring storage conditions such as fridge temperatures. Oversee the ordering and receipt of pharmacy stock, following internal protocols. Continuously update professional knowledge regarding medications, including their uses, dosages, side effects, and complementary products and services. Stay updated on legislation to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, including: Pharmacy Practice Act 2004 Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) standards Maintain prescription records and accurately track the dispensing of controlled substances. Properly store and preserve medications prone to deterioration, such as vaccines and serums. Supervise and coordinate the activities of Pharmacy Technicians, interns, and Pharmacy Sales Assistants. Supply non-prescription medicines and offer diagnostic and therapeutic aids. The requirements Successful completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy A current general registration with AHPRA At least 2 years' experience in fulfilling similar responsibility in a retail pharmacy setting Attention to detail and precision in record keeping Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment Ability to work autonomously and in a face-paced, pressured environment.
