The Video Editor role within VIVERSE is expected to create a minimum of one video per week, working independently and collaboratively with the Social Media Manager to produce engaging, socially appealing content. These videos will play a key role in our marketing efforts, driving social growth and increasing platform exposure for VIVERSE.
This is a 6 to 12 month contract.
Job ResponsibilitiesContent Development Brainstorming and developing the concepts, scripts, and shot lists.Production, audio mixing, and final editing of videos.Collaborating with 3D Animator to direct any needed 3D animation.Motion Graphics Development of motion graphics for social videos as needed.Work closely with Brianna Davidson, Social Media Manager, to collaborate on social media release plans and brainstorm video concepts.Participate in cross-functional meetings, contributing to innovative content ideas and campaign strategies.Quality & Consistency Deliver high-quality, accurate content that aligns with VIVERSE's brand standards.Creativity & Adaptability Bring innovative ideas to content development, adapting to trends and changing needs.Manage multiple projects independently, ensuring timely completion without sacrificing quality.Demonstrate precision in all work, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.Marketing Development Develops and launches marketing efforts for the company through online media and platforms (e.g., social media platforms, emails, digital advertisements, and online videos).Develops concepts to provide visual, web-based marketing to promote solutions to client needs.Maintains a company or brand's online presence, guidance on content use.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)2+ years of experience as a video editor.A portfolio showcasing diverse editing styles and completed projects.Relevant certifications in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Certified Professional) are a plus.Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer.Familiarity with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects, Blender).Knowledge of color grading and color correction techniques.Experience with sound editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition).Understanding of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and compression techniques.Basic understanding of filming techniques, including camera operation and lighting.Experience working with digital media asset management systems.Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives through video.Excellent attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving skills to address editing challenges creatively.Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, directors, and team members.Understanding of branding and marketing concepts for creating on-message content.Familiarity with social media platforms and their specific video requirements (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube).Ability to adapt to emerging trends in video production and editing.Knowledge of live-streaming setups and software (e.g., OBS Studio) is a bonus.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Abilities)Bachelor's degree in film production, multimedia, communication, or a related field.At the time of posting, HTC's estimated hourly non-exempt rate of pay for this position is $52.00 AUD – $57.00 AUD. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including candidate skills, qualifications, experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for participation in our discretionary bonus programs.
