About the Role
Working within our Fixed Plant Processing team and Reporting to the Processing Production Superintendent, this position will be part of a team working towards analysing plant performance, defining how best to prioritise, plan, lead and implement improvements.
You will also safely deliver the most value through standard work and established industry best practice from a Processing Production perspective.
In this role you will:
Produce production standards, targets and operating philosophies that ensure effective production process controls are maintained.
Benchmark, monitor and analyse the performance of the production processes and outcomes to ensure plant production is predictable, stable and consistently operating at the target level of performance and within normal variation.
Identify and prioritise value adding opportunities for performance improvement in plant availability/utilisation/rate to ensure we safely meet our business plan in a stable predictable manner.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and work to improve cost performance.
Assist with the planning, design and verification of improvement projects and ensure improvements are sustained, replicated and achieve desired outcome from a metallurgical perspective.
Liaise with Production Scheduling with forecast planning providing plant capability and contributing to a robust plan to deliver production throughput and grade results.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
A Bachelor degree in either Applied Science or Engineering specializing in Mineral Processing or Metallurgy.
Previous experience in Process Engineering, preferably within the mining sector.
Strong communication, negotiation, influencing skills that enable exceptional relationship management.
Excellent analytical skills.
Exposure to Helix, DAS, Power BI and proficient with excel is highly regarded.
Minimum of C class drivers licence.
Location
This position will be based at Yandi mine site on a fly-in fly-out 5/2 4/3 roster.
Yandi is located 90 kilometres North West of Newman, Western Australia.
