We are seeking a proactive Farm Hand to not only oversee but also expand the day-to-day operations of our specialty crop farm. With our commitment to supplying quality produce directly to our associated restaurants, the role involves both managing current operations and developing strategies for growth. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in mushroom cultivation, vegetable farming, sustainable agricultural practices, logistics, and strategic development.Responsibilities include but not limited to: Crop Care: Manage the cultivation of our mushrooms, greens, and other crops.Monitor crops to ensure their health and quality.Plan and record the planting, harvesting, packing, and distribution cycles.Daily Operations: Plan tasks according to the season and the needs of the farm.Maintain and operate farming tools and machinery.Follow best practices to ensure safety and eco-friendliness.Budgeting & Supplies: Track stock levels of essentials like seeds and fertilizers.Communication: Regularly update key stakeholders about farm progress.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and the community.Requirements: A hands-on approach and love for farming.Knowledge of crop care, especially mushrooms and selected greens.Ability to adapt and innovate.Strong communication skills.Benefits: Free dwelling provided onsite
