Description About the role The Senior Project Manager will proactively lead and work on cloud technology projects with our data delivery and solutions teams to achieve exceptional customer outcomes. You’ll form relationships with key stakeholders, provide great decision making and effectively lead a delivery team. This role involves planning, directing and leading the development and implementation of projects to satisfy business strategies and objectives. Working with the Portfolio Manager - Data, you will also identify and implement cloud-to-cloud projects, enterprise multi-cloud and FinOps in your role as well as lead/support other activities across the Portfolio, Squads and functional business streams. 6 months Fixed term contract role with potential extension Melbourne or Parramatta based location Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Lead and inspire data projects and project teams to define and deliver large, complex data cloud projects across the project lifecycle while being cognizant of the complexity, cost, urgency, risk, governance and stakeholder value Ability to conduct feasibility studies, write business cases, identifying resourcing and utilisation, risks/issues management, success metrics and criteria and benefits realisation against strategic objectives Define project scope, success criteria and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and key identified stakeholders, accurately interpreting ideas, information and needs Proactively manage variance and change requests within control mechanisms as per Project Management Office Plan, control and monitor costs, project schedules and committed project outcomes to ensure they meet financial objectives and are deliver within agreed timeframes Risk and Governance Apply effective risk, compliance and quality assurance governance to project tracking and reporting ensuring timely and appropriate decision making, excellent documentation management, appropriate escalations and traceability. Build strong relationships using your strong communication skills to actively collaborate across internal and external stakeholder teams to support the delivery of project objectives and outcomes Experience & Personal Attributes 7 years’ project management experience in managing large and complex projects / programs preferably in an Agile environment – experience within financial services, superannuation preferred but not essential Excellent organisational and leadership skills – can effectively plan, manage risk/issues and apply governance to mobilise both time and resources (clients and project team members) across diverse platforms to get things done to meet requirements using clear, precise written comms and auditable project artefacts.
